You Deserve the Care You Give: A Love Letter to Every Executive Assistant

Dear Executive Assistant,
You are phenomenal.
Every day, you show up with grace, patience, and excellence. You juggle meetings, solve problems before they become disasters, and make your executive's life look seamless. You are the silent strategist behind success. But here’s a question for you:
When was the last time you checked in on yourself?
The Unseen Weight You Carry
You carry so much that others don’t see. The unspoken pressure to always be available. The late nights and early mornings. The mental gymnastics it takes to remember everything for everyone. It’s no small task. And yet, you make it look effortless.
But effortlessness doesn’t mean weightless.
Just because you can handle it all doesn’t mean you should carry it alone. And just because no one’s asking how you’re doing doesn’t mean it doesn’t matter.
Permission to Pause
So today, this post is your permission to:
Pause without guilt.
Say “not today” without apology.
Rest without explaining.
You don’t have to earn your rest. You don’t need to justify your need for peace. You are a human being, not just a powerhouse.
Little Ways to Love on You
Start your day with something for YOU. A song, a verse, a quiet moment.
Keep a “Me First” list. Jot down five things you enjoy—and actually do them.
Create a wind-down ritual. Light a candle, take a hot shower, read fiction—something that signals your brain it’s time to let go.
Speak kindly to yourself. The voice in your head should be your biggest cheerleader, not your harshest critic.
You Are Worthy
You give so much of your time, energy, and heart to make sure things run smoothly for others. But don’t forget—you are just as worthy of care, attention, and love.
Take the trip. Take the nap. Take the moment. You are not a machine. You are a masterpiece.
With love and respect,
A Fellow Advocate for Your Well-Being
